LAKE ELMO, Minn. - The preseason No. 2 Demon Deacons will open their fall slate Monday at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M.
The reigning NCAA Champions are one of nine preseason top-15 teams in the 12-team field and are joined by fellow ACC competitors Duke, Florida State and Virginia. For the first round of play, the Deacs will be paired with preseason No. 3 Texas A&M and preseason No. 7 South Carolina.
This will be the fourth appearance for Wake Forest at the prestigious event, as they are the defending team champions and won the team and individual titles in 2019. The Deacs came in third in 2021, but the event was not played in 2020.

In her sixth year at the helm, Lewellen and the Deacs have won two ACC titles (2019, 2022), won the 2023 NCaA Championship and finished runner-up at the 2019 NCAA Championships. Lewellen is assisted by seventh-year Lyons Family Associate Head Coach Ryan Potter.

- Rolling hills, mature trees and abundant wildlife provide the scenic backdrop to the challenging, yet approachable 18-hole course. The front nine, or the Queen's Nine, was designed by Annika Sorenstam, her first U.S. project. While the back nine, known as the King's Nine, was Arnold Palmer's last. Together, these golf legends envisioned a multi-generational golfing experience; a place where beginners would feel comfortable in learning, and where experienced players could test their skills.
