Chacarra Leads Field After 36 Holes at Stephens Cup

OKLAHOMA CITY - Wake Forest senior Carolina Chacarra leads the field of 36 after 36 holes of play at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup. Three teams did not finish the second round and will conclude Tuesday morning prior to the third round beginning.
Chacarra was the only player in the field who finished all 36 holes under par as of Monday evening. The Spaniard went four-under in her opening round that included birdies on five of her last seven holes, including four-straight from holes 12-15. Her second round was even par to maintain her leading score.
The senior led the field in scoring on par threes and par fours and was second in scoring on par fives. She had the most birdies in the field over the 36-hole day with seven. Graduate student Sky Sload was the next Deac on the list with four. Chacarra also tied for the most pars on the first day, with 26. Of the 26 holes played Monday, Chacarra birdied or parred 33 of them.
Tuesday's Final Stroke Play Round
Monday afternoon's second round will conclude Tuesday morning ahead of the third round teeing off at 11:20. Tee times and pairings will be announced when made available.
At the conclusion of the final round, the six teams will be seeded for match play. The top two stroke play teams will compete for the title in the championship match on Wednesday. The third and fourth-seeded teams will play for third place and the fifth and sixth-seeded teams will play for fifth place.
The individual winner will be recognized at the end of stroke play competition on Tuesday.
