WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Highlighted by a perfect weekend in singles from Ioannis Xilas, the Wake Forest men's tennis team wrapped up a successful outing at the Wake Forest Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.

Xilas opened his weekend with four-consecutive dominant sets as he took down UNC Charlotte's Brett Gloria (6-3, 6-4) and Duke's Teddy Truwit (6-0, 6-3) and advanced to the A-Draw semifinals.

Against Aaron Williams of Georgia Southern, he took the first set (7-5) before dropping his first set of the weekend in a tiebreak, 6(3)-7. Xilas bounced back and earned his spot in the final with a 6-3 victory in the deciding set.

He took on Clemson's Viktor Markov in the final and only dropped a single game, as he won the A-Draw with a 6-0, 6-1 decision on Sunday.
