The junior had a standout season, leading the 2024 ACC Champions in both points and goals.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Serving as a team captain for the 2024 ACC Champions, Wake Forest men's soccer junior midfielder Cooper Flax has been selected as a United Soccer Coaches third-team All-American, as announced by the organization.
This selection is the latest honor for Flax, as he earned United Soccer Coaches first-team All-South Region recognition earlier this week after previously being named an All-ACC second-team selection and to the ACC All-Tournament Team.
With his selection, the Dix Hills, N.Y., native is the 12th United Soccer Coaches All-American selection under 10th-year head coach Bobby Muuss. He is the first third-team All-American selection for the Demon Deacons since 2009.
During the 2024 season, Flax led the Deacs in points (19) and goals (nine) as he was the only field player to start all 24 matches.
In ACC Tournament victories over Syracuse and Virginia along with a 2-2 draw at SMU, Flax scored four goals including his first-career brace in a 5-1 victory over the Cavaliers.
Of his nine goals, six came against ACC opponents and his final goal of the season was a game-winning strike in a 2-1 victory over Maryland in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
He also converted on both of his penalty kick attempts against SMU and Clemson en route to Wake Forest's third ACC Championship in nine seasons.
