The Demon Deacons are Set to Begin the 2024 Outdoor Track & Field Season

Wake Forest will head to Charlotte this weekend for the 49er Classic.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Following a record-breaking season for the Wake Forest men's and women's track & field teams, the Deacs look to Charlotte for the first event of the outdoor season. The 49er Classic is set to take place from March 14-16. 

Last season, Rynard Swanepoel claimed first place in the 1500m with a time of 3:47.85 at the 49er Classic. Also, Andrew Kivett claimed a top-10 finish in the seventh spot with a 3:53.04. 

Thursday's events begin at 11:00 a.m. ET at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center, you can follow the live results here.
