
Thomas Kitchell Earned First-Team All-American Honors at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Kitchell broke the Wake Forest program record and set a new personal-best in the indoor shot put.
BOSTON - In his first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Thomas Kitchell finished fifth and earned First-Team All-American honors at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston. On his first attempt, Kitchell set a new personal-best and shattered his own Wake Forest record with a 19.73m throw.
Wake Forest All-Time Indoor Shot Put
The Bethlehem, Pa., native closed the book on a record-setting indoor season. Leading up to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Kitchell finished first in all seven events including being crowned ACC Champion during the 2024 indoor campaign. Kitchell became the sixth Demon Deacon in program history to earn All-American honors.
Wake Forest Men's Indoor Track & Field All-Americans
Saturday closed the book on the indoor season for the Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams. The Demon Deacons finished the campaign with three All-ACC athletes.
