Coach Megan Gebbia and the Wake Forest women’s basketball team announced the addition of incoming freshman forward Kennedy Moore Wednesday.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest women's basketball team and head coach Megan Gebbia announced the addition of forward Kennedy Moore during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
This brings the total number of incoming players for the upcoming season to three as the Demon Deacons also announced the signing of top international guard Aurora Sørbye from Norway during the early signing period in November. Additionally, the Demon Deacons will also be bringing in graduate forward Emily Johns from American University.
In the signing of Moore, Wake Forest is getting a multi-time all-conference that has averaged a near double-double in each of her last three seasons playing at Flathead High School in Kalispell, Mont.
Over the course of her four-years on varsity, Moore averaged 11.9 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game and 2.9 steals per game, leading her team in scoring and rebounding in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
She became the first from the state of Montana to sign with the Demon Deacons in program history.

"I chose Wake Forest because I have always wanted to play Division-I basketball since I was in the seventh grade. Wake Forest offers the best in academic and athletic opportunities with excellent facilities, programs, coaches, players and staff that are second to none. I visited Wake Forest with my mom and knew right away, Wake Forest is where I want to grow as a person and an athlete. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead of me and to becoming a stronger person on and off the court. The support that my family and coaching staff has provided through the past six years of my student athletic career has been some of the most valuable and rewarding experiences of my life. I couldn't have done it without them." - Kennedy Moore
From Coach Gebbia
"Kennedy is a terrific athlete that with time and development will be a great fit in our system at the 4-position. She can really stretch the defense and shoot the ball well from behind the arc. She is a strong rebounder, using her great leaping ability to her advantage. Her athletic traits also show up when she is running the floor and on the defensive end. She has been a three-sport athlete, excelling on the volleyball court and as a track athlete. You can see how those sports have helped her on the basketball court. Off the court, she is someone who we think will fit well as a teammate as well as a student here at Wake Forest University. We are excited to get going with Kennedy's development and really see her continue to grow as a basketball player." - Megan Gebbia
