Matchups Set for 2024 Spring Soccer Cup Finals on Sunday, April 14 at Spry Stadium

The Demon Deacons will face NC State in the Championship Match of the 2024 Spring Soccer Cup.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's soccer program and Wake Forest University are once again hosting the finals of the Spring Soccer Cup, as the 2024 edition will feature five matches beginning at 12 noon on Sunday, April 14 at Spry Stadium.
The event will conclude with a matchup between Wake Forest and NC State in the Championship Match, set to kick at 4:45 p.m. at Spry.
The complete schedule for Sunday is as follows:
Match 1: Duke vs. Georgetown (12 noon; Spry Stadium)
Match 2: Maryland vs. Clemson (12 noon; Spry Training Field No. 2)
Match 3: Pitt vs. North Carolina (2:20 p.m.; Spry Stadium)
Match 4: Virginia Tech vs. Virginia (2:20 p.m.; Spry Training Field No. 2)
Championship Match: Wake Forest vs. NC State (4:45 p.m.; Spry Stadium)
Tickets for the event are available for purchase here. All seating is general admission. Seating on the Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill is free. Children three and under do not need a ticket to enter if sitting on a lap; if their own seat is needed a ticket should be purchased.
Group play for the Spring Soccer Cup spanned over the last six weekends for the 10 programs, creating a competitive atmosphere as the teams prepare for the 2024 season beginning in August.
Three points were awarded for a win in regulation. If matches remained tied after 90 minutes, the opponents went directly into penalty kicks with the winning team earning two points and the losing side being awarded one point.
In March, the Demon Deacons opened Spring Soccer Cup play drawing 1-1 with North Carolina before falling in penalty kicks. That result was followed by a 3-1 victory over Georgetown at Spry before Wake Forest and Pitt drew 1-1 with the Deacs winning in penalty kicks.
