No. 12 Wake Forest Set For Penultimate Midweek Clash

The Demon Deacons will take a five-game win streak into a battle with triad rival NC A&T.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Following a series sweep over in-state rival Western Carolina, the No. 12 Wake Forest baseball team is set to take on North Carolina A&T at 6 p.m. Wednesday night at David F. Couch Ballpark.
Sophomore Ben Shenosky will make his eighth start of the season and 18th appearance. The righty has only given up three walks in his last five outings with 11 strikeouts during that span.
Offensively, junior Seaver King has hit lights out over the last few weeks as the third baseman has now knocked in a run in seven-consecutive games, including seven in the series against Western Carolina. He now leads the team and ranks fifth in the conference with 57 total RBI this campaign.

Multiple Safety Enhancements Added at David F. Couch Ballpark
To make it easier for all fans to get to their seats handrails have been installed in all stadium aisles at The Couch. Prior to the start of the North Carolina series, the protective netting was extended out to cover all fans in general admission seating from potential balls leaving the playing field. Additional security cameras will be added to ensure the safety of fans attending games this season. For a full list of upgrades to The Couch, click here.

- Tuesday marks the 20th all-time meeting between the two schools and second of the season, as the Deacs hold a 18-1 record over the Aggies.
- Wake Forest is currently on a four-game winning streak over NC A&T, with the lone loss coming on the road in 1996.

- Wake Forest's 546 strikeouts through 48 games currently is tops in the ACC and ranks third nationally.
- Additionally, the Deacs rank second in the country with an 11.7 K/9 to this point of the 2024 campaign.
- In 2024, Wake Forest has struck out at least 10 in 30 contests and 15 or more in 10.
- The Deacs struck out 19 batters on Friday against the Catamounts, one shy of their season-best of 20 against the Duke Blue Devils on March 9.
