The Demon Deacons offense has put up 41 runs in the last two games, after scoring a then season-high 17 on Sunday against Western Carolina.
After being named a captain earlier today, senior Jake Reinisch continued his torrid stretch with a 2-for-3 effort, including his fourth-straight game with a homerun. The Clifton Park, N.Y. native nailed the batter's eye in center for his 15th of the season. Reinisch finished with four RBI to become the first Demon Deacon to hit the 60 mark this season while also scoring three runs.
Catcher Cameron Gill stayed red hot at the plate as the graduate transfer is now 7-of-8 (.875) over the last four games. Gill finished the contest 2-for-2 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored, launching his second homer of the 2024 campaign deep over the wall in left center.
Transfer Seaver King carried his RBI streak to eight-straight games, adding a pair in a 2-for-5 effort. The Athens, Ga. product paces Wake Forest with 23 multi-hit games and 20 multi-RBI efforts. Additionally, King crossed the plate a season-high four times on Wednesday.
The Deacs freshman quartet of Antonio Morales, Cam Nelson, Javar Williams and Liam Willson finished the night 5-of-8 (.625), driving in seven of Wake Forest's 24 runs and scored seven times as well between the four first-year players.
Additionally, sophomores Austin Hawke and Marek Houston both added multi-hit nights at the dish. Hawke is six for his last seven (.857) over his last three appearances while Houston has recorded a hit in 25 of the last 31 games with 13 multi-hit performances over the span.
On the mound, sophomore righty Ben Shenosky earned his fourth win of the season, tossing 4.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts. Relievers Will Gervase and Hudson Lee didn't allow a hit over the final two frames with Lee striking out the side in the seventh to end the game.

FROM COACH WALTER
"It's good to end this six-game stretch with a win. We needed to do that. Offensively, we had a really good day today and I was happy about that. Jake Reinisch continues to swing the bat well and use all parts of the field. Seaver King, Marek Houston and Cameron Gill all had really good days at the plate. I am really happy with the offense and the guys that came off the bench did a really good job, having good at-bats. It was good to see Will Gervase and Hudson Lee come in there, throw strikes and throw the ball well. Those are guys that might have a big role here down the stretch. It was a good team win and now we have to practice well tomorrow to get ready for Clemson." - head coach Tom Walter
