- Women's Basketball:
- Battling against Stanford and Cal, the week saw senior guard Elise Williams reach two individual milestones as she now is in the top 10 in program history in both steals and three pointers made. She is the only player in program history to rank in the top 10 in assists, steals, three pointers and free throw percentage.
- The Demon Deacons nearly erased a 16-point fourth quarter deficit on Thursday in a 74-71 loss to Stanford.
- Individually, Williams led the Demon Deacons in points (19), assists (4), rebounds (5) and steals (6). Her 19 points and six steals both set a season-high.
- Senior guard Raegyn Conley set career-highs in points (18) and three-pointers (6-of-10) off of the bench. It marked the first time in the HerHoopsStats era that a Demon Deacon has made at least six three pointers on 60 percent or better shooting from deep.
- With high-scoring performances from Williams and Conley, it marked the first time since Nov. 6, 2023 against Wofford that the Deacs had two or more players with at least 18 points.
- On Sunday, Wake Forest battled in a 12-point loss to No. 18 Cal.
- The 28 turnovers forced were the most since at least the 2017-18 season, as Wake Forest converted those turnovers into 27 points while allowing the Golden Bears just five points off turnovers.
- The Demon Deacons were led by senior guard Elise Williams, who finished the contest with 15 points and added a trio of rebounds, assists and steals. Senior Demeara Hinds and sophomore Rylie Theuerkauf joined Williams in double figures with 10 points apiece.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Wake Forest women's tennis team opened their 2025 season with a trio of matches at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center, ending opening weekend 2-1 and a combined 6-0 in doubles matches.
- The Demon Deacons nearly pulled off an upset against No. 18 Tennessee in their opening match of the weekend, ultimately falling to the Volunteers 3-4.
- Redshirt sophomore Krystal Blanch led the Deacs with a ranked win at second singles, defeating No. 19 Catherine Aulia 6-2, 7-5. Blanch also helped seal the doubles point for the Deacs, as she and graduate student Makayla Mills defeated Tomase/Yan (7-5) at first doubles.
- The Demon Deacons bounced back with a 4-0 sweep against East Carolina to get their first win of the season.
- Freshmen Kady Tannenbaum and Brianna Baldi secured their first solo victories of their collegiate career against the Pirates, as Tannenbaum defeated Isabel Rivera (6-1, 7-5) at third singles, while Baldi defeated Anna Lou Champion (6-4, 6-2).
- Junior Stella Li clinched the match for the Demon Deacons with a straight-set victory over Lilly Lancaster (6-2, 6-4) at sixth singles.
- The Demon Deacons came away with another sweep on Monday, defeating East Tennessee State 7-0.
- The Deacs continued their excellent doubles play, moving to 6-0 with wins from Tannenbaum and junior Nevena Carton at second doubles, along with a 6-2 victory by graduate student Anna Zhang and junior Whitley Pate at third doubles. With their win against ETSU's Rage/Alexandrova, Pate and Zhang improved to 3-0 as a duo over opening weekend.
- In singles action, the Deacs earned straight-set victories at all six courts, including a tightly-contested victory by sophomore Sankavi Gownder at sixth singles, who defeated Ksenija Rage (7-5, 7-5) to secure the sweep for Wake Forest.
- With the victory over the Buccaneers, head coach Jeff Wyshner secured his 189th career victory at Wake Forest and is now only two wins away from tying the all-time program record for wins.
- Volleyball:
- Having officially arrived in Winston-Salem, head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer and the Wake Forest volleyball team are ready for spring practice in the new era under Hulsmeyer's leadership.
- Last week, Coach Hulsmeyer met with media and university members before taking in the men's basketball victory over Stanford at LJVM Coliseum.
