Wake Forest will be represented by DK Suresh Ekambaram, Luca Pow, Andrew Delgado and Joaquin Guilleme.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Four members of the Wake Forest men's tennis team are set to compete on the national stage this week, as DK Suresh Ekambaram, Luca Pow, Andrew Delgado and Joaquin Guilleme head to Orlando, Fla., for the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Singles and Doubles Championships hosted at the USTA National Campus.

All four earned their place in the field through standout fall campaigns highlighted by ranked wins, deep tournament runs and marquee victories throughout ITA competition. The Demon Deacons will be represented by three singles participants: Pow, Guilleme and Suresh, along with one doubles entry, the second-seeded pairing of Delgado and Suresh.

Play begins Tuesday, Nov. 16 with the opening round of singles. Suresh, who reached the NCAA semifinals last season, enters the week after another strong fall that featured wins over multiple ranked opponents at the ITA All-American Championships. He will open his 2025 run against Matic Kriznik of Alabama at 2:30 p.m.

Pow secured his bid through a dominant run to the Carolina Regional final, while Guilleme clinched his place last weekend by battling through the ITA East Sectional, including a clutch playoff victory to earn one of the final berths.

Pow (9 a.m.) and Guilleme (11 a.m.) will take on Sam Landau and No. 1-seed Jay Friend (Arizona), respectively, in the round of 64.

Wake Forest will look to have an NCAA Singles Champion for the first time since Petros Chrysochos did so in 2018.

Doubles competition begins Wednesday, where Delgado and Suresh Ekambaram, fresh off a finalist run at the ITA All-American Championships, enter as one of the top teams in the draw. The duo collected four ranked wins en route to their title match appearance and will look to carry that momentum into NCAA play.

The Deacs' have seen three doubles pairs reach the semifinals of this event in their history, but never a finalist as Suresh and Delgado look to make history this week.

Wednesday's doubles start times are still to be determined. Stay tuned to GoDeacs.com and Wake Forest men's tennis' social accounts for more information throughout the week.

The event will be streamed live each day on ESPN+ with coverage brought to you by Cracked Racquets and a link to live results will be posted as soon as it is made available.

For those able to attend, tickets are available for purchase here. Each match will be played at the USTA Campus.

This Time Last Year
Highlighted by DK Suresh Ekambaram's incredible run to the semifinals, the Wake Forest men's tennis team had a successful trip last year at the 2024 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Waco, Texas.

Suresh Ekambaram opened the week with a dominant 6-4, 6-1 victory over No. 64-ranked Miguel Perez Pena of Georgia, before following that up with another straight-set win over Baylor's No. 61-ranked Devin Badenhorst (6-4, 6-2).

Despite his opponent serving for the match, Suresh battled back from the death and defeated eighth-seeded Aidan Kim of Ohio State (4-6, 7-6, 6-3) to advance to the quarterfinals. He became the seventh Demon Deacon to make the quarterfinals and first since Eduardo Nava in 2022.

The phenomenal run continued on Friday, where Suresh dominated against Corey Craig of Florida State and picked up a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Suresh was just the fourth Demon Deacon to reach the semifinals and first since Petros Chrysochos and Borna Gojo both made a run to the finals in 2018.

After earning automatic qualification to the championships by winning the Carolina Regionals, the doubles pair of Luca Pow and Luciano Tacchi carried the momentum into Texas. The duo earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the opening round over the No. 57-ranked pair of Arthus de la Bassetiere/Kabeer Kapasi from Rice.

Pow/Tacchi became All-Americans for the first time after a comeback victory over Indiana's No. 52-ranked Facundo Yunis/Jip van Assendelft in the round of 16.
