Coach's Comments
"Congratulations to Grant's team at Texas Tech. They showed a lot of resiliency and toughness down the stretch. They made a lot of big-time plays and we just couldn't get any stops. They made big-time shots and we fouled them. We didn't get off to a very good start. I was really disappointed in our starters, especially our bigs. Our offense put our defense in a lot of peril early. We consistently got to the rim but couldn't finish, which put us in defensive transition. They really killed us on the offensive glass – they were +3 in the first half. I thought we did a much better job of getting them off the glass in the second half; we just couldn't get stops late. Credit to them that they made some tough shots. I thought we took a couple of poor shots late in the game. Again, execution – we got to get a little bit better shot on a couple of those. We continually have guys driving in there and not playing off two feet. When we play off two feet, we're pretty good. When we don't, we're not. So, we still have things that we have to clean up and we have to be ready to play tomorrow, because it'll be a tough game." - head coach Steve Forbes
