Coach's Comments
"That was a great team win. We just stayed resilient the entire game. We didn't have our A game, and all that credit goes to Memphis. I thought their switching and length really bothered us on the perimeter. We just had a hard time getting in there, and when we did, we didn't always make the right plays. But, we found a way to win. You never know when your number's going to get called, and Sebastian Akins got a really tough rebound and drew a foul to come down and make two free throws. Then, we sub in a guy (Isaac Carr) who hasn't played the entire game when he throws a dime to Tre'Von Spillers, who throws it to Myles Colvin for the win. It is something that we work on a lot. We worked on it here the day before the game, just because the ceiling is so low and I was a little afraid. I wanted him to be used to throwing it if we needed it. So, I thought our team did a really good job executing late. We came out of a timeout and got it right into the post for a bucket that we needed. I thought Tre'Von Spillers really carried us in the second half with his leadership." - head coach Steve Forbes
