
Demon Deacons Jump to No. 4 All-Time in Men’s NCAA Distance Medley Relay

On Friday, Wake Forest claimed first-place in the men’s Distance Medley Relay, setting a new program record.
The Demon Deacons' victory was powered by a spectacular performance from Rocky Hansen, who anchored the Deacs, narrowly defeating No. 6 North Carolina by a mere 0.02 seconds.
Hansen's split time of 3:50.22 was 7.68 seconds faster than his personal-best for the indoor mile.
Foster Shelbert blazed through the 400 meter mark in 47.97, Rynard Swanepoel surged to a 1:47.89 at the 800m, and Paul Specht dominated with a time of 2:51.13 for the 1200m.
