Wake Forest Delivers Dominant Results in Durham

The Deacs tallied a podium finish and hit four ACC qualifying marks at the Duke Invitational.

DURHAM, N.C. -  Wake Forest Track and Field came out strong on day two of the Duke Invitational Friday, earning a podium finish and seeing four Demon Deacons hit ACC qualifying marks.

The day began with a tightly contested women's 800 meter race, where Emma Douglass placed sixth in 2:06.15.

The men's 1500m event followed with a standout performance from Paul Specht, who claimed second place in a commanding 3:41.64. Freshman JoJo Jourdon impressed in his first outdoor 1,500, finishing 10th overall with a time of 3:44.75.

To wrap up the day, Rylan Engels crossed the line in 4:21.37 in the women's 1500, securing a 12th-place finish.
