Junior Elizabeth Whaley opened her 2025 outdoor season with a victory in the 1500 meters, crossing in 4:20.83.
PHILADELPHIA, PA. / CHARLOTTE, N.C. - On Friday, a group of Deacs returned for day two of the Penn Relays, while another group opened day one of the Charlotte Invitational.
During her outdoor season opener at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Elizabeth Whaley shined on the track, claiming first with a dominant time of 4:20.83 in the 1500 meters.
Meanwhile, at the University of Pennsylvania, Isabella Gera returned to the field for her second day of competition. Gera captured third place with a mark of 14.99 meters, holding steady at No. 4 on Wake Forest's all-time list.
In the javelin, Julia Pinter—ranked No. 6 in program history, secured a third place finish with a throw of 43.94m.
