The Demon Deacons will host Kentucky, Old Dominion and Gardner-Webb at the Winston-Salem Regional.
INDIANAPOLIS – Following one of the most dominant regular seasons in collegiate tennis history, the Wake Forest men's tennis team was selected to the 2025 NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament as the No. 1-overall seed, as announced by the NCAA Monday afternoon.
Wake Forest (34-1) will open the tournament facing Gardner-Webb on Friday, May 2 at 5 p.m., with the winner moving on to face either Kentucky or Old Dominion on Saturday (May 3) at 5 p.m. All matches will be played at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.
Monday's nod marked the Demon Deacons' 12th-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their 24th all-time. Under the direction of head coach Tony Bresky, Wake Forest has advanced past the first round of the tournament in each of the last 10 seasons.
Last season, Wake Forest reached the third NCAA semifinal in program history and first since 2019 following its 4-1 victory over Virginia in the quarterfinals.
