WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest women's basketball team and head coach Megan Gebbia announced the addition of rising sophomore forward Grace Oliver Wednesday, who is transferring from Colorado.
This brings the total number of incoming players for the upcoming season to six as the Demon Deacons also announced the signing of four freshman additions during the early signing period in November. Additionally, Oliver is the second transfer the Deacs have signed in this cycle, joining guard Raven Preston who was announced on Monday.
Oliver, who has three years of eligibility remaining, adds a veteran presence to the frontcourt along with graduate forward Emily Johns, rising junior guard/forward Madisyn Jordan and rising sophomore forward Kennedy Moore.
During her freshman season at Colorado, averaged 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, seeing action in all 32 games while also making starts against Baylor and Houston. Over the course of the year, Oliver knocked down 52.2 percent of her shots and shot 39.5 percent from behind the arc.
In the win over Houston, Oliver had a career game, finishing with a season-high 16 points to go along with a season-high 14 rebounds in 31 minutes played. She ended the season with nine games where she grabbed five or more rebounds while also having eight games where she pitched in seven or more points.
Oliver also was key in the Buffalos win in the first round of the WBIT over Southeast Louisiana, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting including going 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

Grace Oliver | F | 6-1 | Norwell, MA/Noble and Greenough School/Colorado
"I chose Wake Forest because it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus. The combination of elite academics, a strong athletic tradition and a supportive community made it the perfect place for me to grow. I know I'll be surrounded by people who will challenge me to be my best every day—both in the classroom and on the court. The coaching staff's vision and the program's culture really stood out to me. I'm looking forward to getting Wake Forest back to the top of the ACC." - Grace Oliver
From Coach Gebbia
"Grace is a perfect system-fitting forward for us that has great versatility to both score inside and on the perimeter. She also has the ability to pass and move without the ball and has familiarity with what we do offensively. We feel that she has the ability to guard multiple positions on the defensive end and is a skilled rebounder. Grace is a really efficient player all around and is a gritty player that really wants to do whatever it takes to help the team win. After having her on campus, she meshed well with the team and we think she will be a tremendous addition to our culture. She can be a foundational for the future as we continue to build here at Wake Forest." - Megan Gebbia
