DK Suresh Named ACC Men’s Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year

Additionally, five Demon Deacons were selected to the All-ACC Academic Team.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Five members of the national champion Wake Forest men's tennis program have been selected to the All-ACC academic team, highlighted by standout DK Suresh Ekambaram being named ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Suresh became the second Demon Deacon to earn ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year honors and first since Petros Chrysochos did so in 2018.
After becoming a singles All-American in the fall with an incredible run to the semifinals of the NCAA Singles Championships, Suresh carried that momentum into dual match play this spring. The junior ranked second on the team notching 20 wins with a team-high 11 of them coming against ranked opponents en route to a national championship.
He also led the team with a stellar 28-5 doubles record this season playing alongside seven different partners.
