CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer senior midfielder Cooper Flax has been selected to the ACC Preseason Watch List, the conference announced Wednesday.
This marks the second preseason nod for Flax, who was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch List a week ago.
During the 2024 season, the All-American led the Deacs in points (19) and goals (nine) as he was the only field player to start all 24 matches.
In ACC Tournament victories over Syracuse and Virginia along with a 2-2 draw at SMU, Flax scored four goals including his first-career brace in a 5-1 victory over the Cavaliers.
Of his nine goals in 2024, six came against ACC opponents and his final goal of the season was a game-winning strike in a 2-1 victory over Maryland in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
He also converted on both of his penalty kick attempts against SMU and Clemson en route to Wake Forest's third ACC Championship in nine seasons.
In addition to his Third-Team All-America selection, he earned United Soccer Coaches first-team All-South Region, All-ACC second-team and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team.
