The Demon Deacons recorded their most dominant ACC victory of the season.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest (11-11, 3-7 ACC) celebrated its home finale with a dominant 4-0 win over Louisville (9-11, 1-10 ACC) on Sunday. Before the action got underway, Nevena Carton was honored by Coach Wyshner on Senior & Graduates Day. She had an important pair of wins today, helping the Deacs in their dominant win over the Cardinals. She is Wake Forest's No. 1 singles and doubles player, improved to 21-14 combined this season and joined the 100-win club earlier this year.
The Deacs finish the 2026 season 10-5 at home and get back to .500 on the season heading into their final conference road trip. This is the first time they have logged double-digit home wins since 2023. The 4-0 win over the Cardinals also marks their first shutout of an ACC opponent this season.
Wake Forest gained an early advantage after one of its strongest doubles performances of the season. Carton and Kady Tannenbaum jumped out to a 5-0 lead and proceeded to earn the first doubles win of the day on court one. Krystal Blanch and Aubrey Nisbet secured the opening point for the Deacs with a 6-1 win over Alice Otis and Lucia Gallegos.
Tannenbaum followed up her strong doubles performance with a win in sixth singles. She defeated Rebekkah Gaines, 6-1, 6-2, to put the Old Gold & Black up 2-0. Oxford then defeated Elena Noguero in straight sets to put the Deacs up 3-0. The freshman continues her terrific 2026 campaign with her team-leading 16th singles win of the season.
It was the senior, Carton, who clinched the win. She defeated Alice Otis 6-2, 6-2, in first singles to secure the victory for the Demon Deacons. Carton improves to 9-7 on the season in singles play with the win.

How It Happened
From Coach Wyshner
"That's a really great senior day! Nevena won both her doubles and singles in convincing fashion and the singles win was the clincher. I really appreciate the good crowd we had show up for our last home match, especially on Easter Sunday! The whole team played well. We got a doubles point and went from there. It was a good final home match and I'm looking forward to a road trip with this group next weekend."
