2004-05 (Junior)
Completed his junior season with a 13-14 singles record and a 7-6 doubles mark... recorded a 8-5 record in fall tournaments and a 5-9 record in dual matches... combined with Andrew Hamar to go 4-4 at No. 3 doubles in the spring... earned an ACC victory at No. 5 Virginia Tech[apos]s Alexei Sergeev, 6-4, 3-6, 10-6... also won at No. 6 against Maryland[apos]s Josh Brauser 7-5, 6-4... reached the semifinals of the Flight B bracket at the Josephine Groot Memorial Invitational in Chapel Hill... advanced to the semifinals of the Flight B bracket at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships... got off to a hot start in the fall, winning eight of his first 12 singles matches, spanning the month of October... won three straight doubles matches to begin the spring with Hamar, including an 8-6 win over the Serrano brothers of East Tennessee State, Cancado/Mello of Old Dominion, 8-2 and an 8-4 victory against Rubenstein/Sud of William & Mary... defeated the Soriano brothers of Tulsa, 9-8, later in the spring... picked up another ACC victory, this time with Derrick Spice, at No. 3 against Maryland[apos]s Coleman/Brauser. 2003-04 (Sophomore)
Finished the season with seven singles victories, two of which came in ACC matches... helped Wake Forest knock off 25th-ranked Florida State with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Joao Paolo Bounassar at No. 6... defeated Maryland[apos]s John O[apos]Rourke in straight sets at No. 5 singles... picked up his first victory of the season at No. 5 singles against Furman[apos]s Brian Crook, 6-1, 6-3... compiled a 4-7 singles record and finished with a 3-5 doubles mark in the fall... won at least one singles match in four different fall tournaments... took three straight matches with doubles partner Joe Bates at the South Carolina Invitational before falling in the championship match. 2002-03 (Freshman)

Born March 1, 1981 in Tel Aviv, Israel... served in the Israeli Defense Forces for three years as a commander in a special unit... attended the All-Star Academy in Del Ray Beach, Fla.... played tennis for coach Ronen Morally in Israel... spent the last few years in Israel[apos]s Army... parents are Janine and Simon Strauss who immigrated to Israel from South Africa... has one sister, Orit, who is a lawyer in Tel Aviv... chose Wake Forest over Minnesota, Oregon and Stony Brook... picked Wake Forest because of the academics and the tennis... enjoys listening to music and playing soccer in his spare time... a Dean[apos]s List student and a member of the ACC Honor Roll.
