The past weekend we ventured to Philadelphia and Princeton for our last regular season trip to the North. Unlike the last two trips, we flew into Philly, which allowed us more free time where we could explore the city and have quality bonding time in the airport.
We kicked off the weekend with our traditional pre-game meal. The energy generated at our pre-game meal sets the tone for the energy for our game. One of the traditions of our pre-game meals is having different members of our team stand up and sings a song. Songs can range from "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", which was sung by Coach Morgan, or "I Would Walk 500 Miles," sung by Volunteer Coach Janie.
Although the pre-game meal is always entertaining, the highlight of the weekend was without a doubt getting two wins and seeing former Wake Hockey players, family, and friends. Not to mention, hearing the Princeton stadium shouting Wake Forest definitely made us feel as though we were at a home away from home.
All of the excitement from this weekend created energy that helped make our free time before our flight home go a little bit faster. In fact, there was a competition for who could do the most creative plank or gargoyle. And Emily has created a new movement, which she has named the gopher. I will let you all judge the pictures.
