Wake Forest to Compete at UNCG Spartan Team Challenge

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- With the Hokie Invitational originally scheduled for this weekend cancelled due to snow, the Wake Forest men's and women's track and field teams will now compete in the UNCG Spartan Team Challenge at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem on Sunday.
Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
The men's and women's teams will each be represented 19 student-athletes competing in nine different events.
Set to make their season debuts are pole vaulters Kathleen Adair and Sydney White, as well as runners Sebastian Fischbach, Simon Holden and Aubrey Waggoner. Libby Parrish, Nikolas Silva and Mitchell Dyer are expected to appear for the Deacon track and field program for the first time ever.
Both Wake Forest track and field teams are slated to return to action on Jan. 29 and 30 at the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem. After that, the Demon Deacons will head to Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Elite Meet.
