
Demon Deacons Run at Charlotte Preview

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –The Deacs sent a men's roster that consisted of five freshmen and one sophomore while the women's ran a team of one freshman, two sophomores, one junior and two seniors.
Kathryn Kenwood, making her collegiate debut, had the highest finish overall among the women, placing seventh in the race and sixth among participants running for Charlotte, Davidson, or Wake Forest. Kenwood crossed in 18:55.7 while sophomore Jenna Truedson was the next Demon Deacon finisher (18:55.7).
For the men, it was freshman Alex Turner who led the way, finishing 10th overall and fifth among attached runners from Charlotte and Wake Forest. The freshman posted a time of 16:20.9 with fellow freshman Jack McGowen recording the next best Deac finish (16:41.8).
The Deacs are back in action September 16 as Wake Forest travels to Cary, North Carolina, for the Adidas Cross Country Challenge.
