The Demon Deacons (12-6, 4-3) bring in two major tests of 'Big Four' rivals. No. 1 North Carolina (19-0, 8-0) will arrive for a Friday evening (April 1) match, while No. 14 Duke (11-3, 6-2) is scheduled for Sunday's contest (April 3).

Last Time Out

March 25 – No. 23 Wake Forest 6, Syracuse 1

Wake Forest impressed as a unit last Friday evening (March 25), defeating Syracuse on the road in a 6-1 decision.

The Deacs moved ahead to a 10-4 all-time series lead over the Orange.

After capturing the doubles point, Wake Forest earned two more points before sophomore Casie Wooten again came in the clutch to deliver a 4-0 clinch in fourth singles. The Torrance, Calif. native climbed ahead to a team-leading 12 season wins.

No. 8 Anna Brylin/Brooke Killingsworth grabbed their second ranked doubles win of the spring.

An abandoned match in sixth singles extended Wake Forest's lead to 2-0.

Brylin continued her brilliance in solo play, racking up three unanswered games in her second set en route to reaching her eleventh victory in singles, as the Deacon lead increased to 3-0. Second sets soon became tightly played for Killingworth, Wooten, Carolyn Campana, and Anna Campana. Wooten would be the one to firstly pull through, putting Wake Forest up 4-0 and securing the match victory. Carolyn Campana hung on through three sets to chip into the Deacs' lead, 5-0. Syracuse won in second singles, landing its sole team point. Killingsworth's three-set mark put the contest to an end, as she built a comfortable lead early in the final frame.

March 27 – No. 23 Wake Forest 6, No. 69 Boston College 1

This past Sunday morning (March 27) saw Wake Forest complete its weekend trip in style, routing Boston College on the road, 6-1.

During the feat, the Deacons won their fourth nationally-ranked match of the 2022 campaign.

For the second time in as many matches, Wake Forest clinched a match victory with a 4-0 start. Additionally, No. 115 Brooke Killingsworth extended her streak of singles wins to eight matches.

Killingsworth and Anna Brylin finished victorious in a ranked matchup for the third time this season during doubles play. Moments later, Mia Ahmad and Peyton Pesavento clinched the first point for Wake Forest, cruising to a 6-1 decision.

Only letting up one game to open singles, Casie Wooten was the first Wake Forest individual to win a set (6-1). Five of Wake Forest's solo participants grabbed wins in their respective opening periods. Samantha Martinelli upped the Deacon lead to 2-0 with a first solo win for the team. Brylin followed with a singles victory on court three, and Killingsworth was right behind her senior to clinch the match, as Wake Forest went up 4-0.

Saby Nihalani was the fourth Deac to capture a singles win, extending her squad's untouched advantage to 5-0. Boston College placed a point by winning in first singles. Wooten ended the afternoon in a three-set tiebreaker, securing her fourth straight solo victory.

In the all-time series record, Wake Forest now holds a 14-6 lead over Boston College.
