Demon Deacons Return to Blacksburg for the Hokie Invitational

Wake Forest looks to continue their success during the indoor campaign this weekend.
Blacksburg. Va. - The Wake Forest men's and women's indoor track and field teams return to Blacksburg for the Hokie Invitational this weekend. 36 Demon Deacons will be competing across 17 events over two days.
During the Virginia Tech Invitational, the Deacs ended the meet with four podium finishes. Two of the podium finishes were first place finishes from Thomas Kitchell in the men's shot put (19.06m) and Jack Balick in the men's 1000m (2:23.91).
Ashlyn Giles claimed a third place finish in the women's shot put (15.43m). Also, Dillon Aryeh finished in second in the men's 1000m (2:24.75). Connor Mathis, Mason Ellis and Amanda Schaare all finished in the top-10 as well at the Virginia Tech Invitational last weekend.
The Hokie Invitational will be held Friday and Saturday at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. Live results for the Hokie Invitational can be found here.
