Deacs Set to Take Center Stage at 2025 ACC Tipoff

Follow the Deacs as head coach Megan Gebbia, freshman Milan Brown and sophomore Grace Oliver as they represent Wake Forest at 2025 ACC Tipoff in Charlotte, N.C.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest freshman Milan Brown and sophomore Grace Oliver are set to represent the Demon Deacons along with head coach Megan Gebbia at the 2025 ACC Tipoff on Monday, October 6 in Charlotte, N.C.
Coach Megan Gebbia and Wake Forest's student-athletes are scheduled to be live at the podium at 8:00 a.m. on ACC Network Extra followed by appearances on the ACC Network set. The entire three-day event can be seen live on ACC Network as well as on the ESPN App.

Wake Forest Women's Basketball Overview
Heading into the fourth season of the Megan Gebbia era, the Demon Deacons restocked the roster with an infusion of exciting young talent as well as veteran transfers, adding eight new players in total ahead of the 2025-26 season.
On National Signing Day, Wake Forest inked a group of promising incoming players from around the world including two players from Australia.
The roster also has key transfer additions who will look to make an immediate impact this season including all-conference selections in Raven Preston from Elon and Mary Carter from Cal Poly. Additionally, the Deacs also signed Colorado transfer forward Grace Oliver who was a four-star recruit by ESPNW (92 grade prospect) and was the No. 84 ranked player in the country in 2023.
Assists On Made Baskets
The Deacs did an excellent job of moving the ball last season, as they assisted on 394 of 667 made baskets this season (59.1 pct.). This was the highest assist percentage in the Gebbia era and the assist percentage ranks in the top 70 percent in the nation according to HerHoopStats.
Wake Forest assisted on 21 of its 27 made baskets (78 percent) against Louisville. This marked the most assists for Wake Forest since they recorded 24 against Saint Louis on Nov. 20, 2023.
Additionally, the 21 assists marked the most this season by the Deacs and most against an ACC opponent since Jan. 19, 2017 in an 80-77 victory over North Carolina. It was the third time this season Wake Forest logged at least 20 assists, with the first two coming against Winthrop and Gardner-Webb (both 20).
Forcing Them Over
Forcing the Panthers into 21 turnovers in the regular season finale. The Deacs have forced 10 or more takeaways 67 times in the last 71 games. The 71-game stretch goes back to January of 2022.
This season, Wake Forest totaled 257 steals including 11 on Sunday. The Demon Deacons steal numbers ended the year ranking inside of the top 100 nationally.
The 28 turnovers forced against Cal was the most forced in a single-game this season for the Deacs. Additionally, it was the second-highest turnover game of the season for the nationally-ranked Bears. The only game where they had more turnovers came on Thursday at No. 14 Duke when Cal turned it over 31 times. This marked the sixth time this season that Wake Forest forced 20-or-more turnovers.
Converting From The Line
The Demon Deacons shot at least 70 percent or from the line in 17 of the 29 games of the 2024-25 season, including doing so in six of the last seven games.
For the second-straight season, the Deacs had one of the top 10 free throw shooting percentages in program history, ranking sixth as they knocked down 294 of 414 shots from the stripe:
Sharpshooting Deacs
The Deacs finished the 2024-25 season knocking down 159 threes (5.5 3FGM per game). This included seven games with eight or more threes made.
Through the first three seasons under head coach Megan Gebbia, the Demon Deacons have hit 590 threes in 95 games under her direction (6.2 3FGM per game).
