BOSTON, MA. / LYNCHBURG, VA. - On Friday, Feb. 14, Wake Forest track and field saw three Demon Deacons shatter Wake Forest's indoor all-time  records in their respective events.

In Lynchburg, Va., Robbie Grace led the Deacs at the Darius Dixon Invitational, winning the women's long jump and securing her sixth consecutive first-place finish of the 2024-25 season. Grace broke her previous mark of 6.22 meters, jumping 6.29m to start the day and finishing with a leap of 6.37m.

Grace's performance not only broke the Darius Dixon Meet record, which she had set in 2024, but also tied Liberty University's facility record. She ranks No. 2 in the ACC and No. 18 nationally.

In Boston, Wake Forest continued to impress as Emma Douglass competed in the women's 800 meters at the Eagle Elite Invitational. Douglass smashed her previous personal best of 2:05.25, finishing seventh with a time of 2:03.95.

Charlotte Augenstein posted a time of 4:40.22 in the mile, while Elizabeth Whaley (4:41.09) and Molly Dreher (4:43.43) also finished strong. Whaley now ranks third on Wake Forest's indoor all-time list.

At the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Luke Tewalt set a new Wake Forest indoor record in the 3,000 meters, finishing sixth with a personal-best time of 7:39.77.

In the men's mile, Paul Specht placed 11th with a personal-best time of 3:55.10, while JoJo Jourdon ran a personal best of 3:56.37 to finish 17th and move into third on Wake Forest's all-time list.

"What a great start to the weekend!! We have athletes competing at 4 different venues this weekend. So far we are competing at a very high level throughout our team. Luke probably had the top performance of many great ones as he likely secured a spot in the national championships. Emma competed at the Boston College meet and beat our school record. She probably had to run a second faster at the ACC Championship in order to make the NCAA championships. Robbie is also extremely close to hitting a national standard. She once again earned a school record. We still have more opportunities for some amazing performances tomorrow. It's a very exciting time to be a Deac!" – Director of Track & Field and Cross Country John Hayes

"It was a great day of execution in almost every race today. We had a lot of people get the best out of themselves which is the most you can ask for. We need to keep the momentum through ACC's"  - Assistant coach Brandon Hazouri

"Robbie displayed remarkable poise and consistency today, breaking her old school record four times—a truly rare feat. With three school records going down today, our entire team is undoubtedly gearing up for exceptional performances in the upcoming championship season ahead." - Assistant coach Ryan Grinnell

"3 school records in a day doesn't happen very often. It's a good day to be a Deac" - Associate head coach Collin Post
