No. 13 Wake Forest Heads to UNCG for first Midweek

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Following a historical offensive weekend, the No. 14 Wake Forest baseball team goes on the road this Tuesday to face UNCG for the first midweek of the 2025 season. First pitch against the Spartans from UNCG Baseball Stadium is set for 5 p.m.

Houston, We Have Liftoff
Wake Forest baseball's junior shortstop Marek Houston earned ACC Player of the Week honors following his Opening Weekend performances against LIU and Marist the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Houston went a ridiculous 10-for-14 (.714) at the plate, including 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored over four games during the weekend.
The Nokomis, Fla. native finds himself among the best in the nation in nearly every offensive category after the first week of play.

Wake Forest has four hitters with 10 or more at-bats over the .400 mark. The Deacs lead the country in multiple offensive categories including runs (63), OPS (1.294), wOBA (.536), doubles (19), extra-base hits (28) and RBI (60).
Historical Start
With the 24-6 victory on Sunday against Marist, the Demon Deacons have now recorded 10+ runs in their first four games of a season for the first time in program history. The four-game streak is also the longest streak of scoring 10+ runs in a game since the Deacs rattled off five-straight double-digit games in 2023.
