- Women's Basketball:
- The Wake Forest women's basketball team stormed back from 15 points down to take the lead in the fourth quarter before eventually falling to No. 19 Georgia Tech, 73-62, on Sunday.
- For the eighth-consecutive game, sophomore guard Rylie Theuerkauf reached double figures with 20 points against the Yellow Jackets on 9-of-16 shooting and a pair of threes. She has three 20-point outings in the last six games and this marked her 16th game of the season with double-digit points.
- Theuerkauf has 120 points over the last seven games (17.1 points per game) and now averages a team-best 11.4 on the season.
- Before traveling to Miami on Sunday, The Demon Deacons are home this Thursday when they host SMU for the annual Play4Kay Pink Game at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Demon Deacons began their six-match road stretch with a doubleheader at South Carolina this past Saturday. The Deacs split their two matches, falling to South Carolina before sweeping in-state rival Western Carolina in the second match.
- Wake Forest recorded its lone point against the Gamecocks following a comeback victory in the doubles match:
- The Deacs bounced back in the second match of the day with a sweep against the Catamounts:
- Junior Nevena Carton and Kady Tannenbaum swept Redondo/Samola at second doubles (6-0). Zhang/Pate picked up their second win of the day as they defeated Osadova/Perez at third doubles (6-1).
- Sophomore Sankavi Gownder and freshman Brianna Baldi came up with nearly simultaneous victories to put the Deacs up 3-0 in the match.
- Junior Jingyi Li, who was playing in just her second singles match of the spring season, defeated Zoe Liu at sixth singles (6-4, 6-3) to secure the sweep for the Deacs.
- Wake Forest will continue its road trip this upcoming weekend with matches against both the Naval Academy and William & Mary. The Deacs will take on Navy on Friday at 1 p.m., before facing William & Mary on Sunday at 11 a.m.

- Track & Field:
- In Lynchburg, Va., Robbie Grace led the Deacs at the Darius Dixon Invitational, winning the women's long jump and securing her sixth consecutive first-place finish of the 2024-25 season. Grace broke her previous mark of 6.22 meters, jumping 6.29m to start the day and finishing with a leap of 6.37m.
- In Boston, Wake Forest continued to impress as Emma Douglass competed in the women's 800 meters at the Eagle Elite Invitational. Douglass smashed her previous personal best of 2:05.25, finishing seventh with a time of 2:03.95.
- Women's Golf:
- After two days of competition at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla. the Deacons sit tied for third out of 17 and two strokes behind second place.
- Junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen continued her dominance after she began her day with an eagle and shot four-under-par through the first three holes. The Netherlands native jumped 28 spots through the first nine holes, and finished the day five-under-par. She ended the day second in the field, just one stroke off the top spot and leads the field in par-five scoring with a 4.50 average.
- Senior Carolina Chacarra capitalized on her momentum from round one with two birdies and moved 15 spots on the player leaderboard to help boost the Deacons to their top spot. She ends round two with 29 total pars, tied first in the total player field.
- After two days of competition at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla. the Deacons sit tied for third out of 17 and two strokes behind second place.
- Women's Soccer:
- Coming off of its most-successful season in program history, the Wake Forest women's soccer team will open spring play on Thursday, Feb. 27 on the road against UNC Charlotte at 7:30 p.m.
- The spring home opener will come on March 23, with a doubleheader against Georgia and Toyo University. Wake Forest has posted a stellar 18-3-6 record at home since the start of 2022, including a 9-1-1 mark at home last season.
- The most anticipated matchup of the spring will come to Spry Stadium on Sunday, March 30 when the Demon Deacons battle the Duke Blue Devils at 5 p.m. Wake Forest and Duke both made it to the College Cup in 2024 and finished inside the top five of the final United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- Volleyball:
- Head volleyball coach Jeff Hulsmeyer recently announced the addition of Tina Readling to his staff. Coach Readling joins the Demon Deacons as the Triplette Family Volleyball Assistant Coach.
- A native of Haw River, N.C., Readling has more than 15 years of experience at the collegiate level. She was most recently the Director of Volleyball Operations at Penn State from 2022-24, helping the Nittany Lions win the 2024 NCAA Championship.
- Prior to her time at Penn State, Readling spent 10 seasons on the volleyball staff at Elon.
- Readling has also served in leadership roles for both the AVCA and USA Volleyball.
