Hayes, 2024 Southeast Regional and ACC Cross Country Coach of the Year, and Director of Track and Field and Cross Country, is charging into the outdoor season with momentum following a stellar indoor campaign.

At the ACC Indoor Championships in Louisville, Ky., held from March 1 to 3, Hayes coached five athletes to All-ACC honors. His guidance didn't stop there— from March 14 to 15 he led sophomore Rocky Hansen and senior Luke Tewalt to First-Team All-American performances and the distance medley relay to Second-Team All-American status at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va.

Under his leadership, the Demon Deacons secured a 35th place finish and finished fourth among ACC teams.
