
Wake Forest Wraps Up Weekend in High Point, N.C.

The Demon Deacons conclude day two of competition at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge.
HIGH POINT, N.C. - Wake Forest track and field returned to the Bob Davidson Team Challenge on Saturday for day two of competition in High Point, N.C., closing out the opening weekend of the 2025 outdoor season.
Georgia native and freshman Brenner McCamey got the Deacs started in the men's high jump, recording 1.88 meters.
In the women's long jump freshman Savannah Simmons and graduate Bridget McNally showcased strong form, leaping 5.66m to take fourth and fifth place respectively.
Isabella Gera followed, returning to the field for her second day of competition. Gera took second place with a mark of 14.50m in shot put.
On the track, freshman Aria Wegh finished her 400-meter debut in 56.46 seconds, placing fourth. For the men, freshman Ryan Harper completed the event in 48.54 seconds, finishing fifth.
Wegh now places 10th on the Wake Forest all-time outdoor list.
Sophomore Ayden Boucher finished the men's 800m in 1:56.07, placing ninth.
In the women's 1500m, sophomore Alyssa Preisano, competing unattached, led the charge with a first-place finish. Sophomore Palmer Walstad blazed to third in 4:33.66. Amy Weybrecht (4:35.49) took fourth, while Mia Prok (4:39.69) and Emma DeVries (4:41.23) rounded out the top 10.
