On Saturday afternoon, Wake Forest wrapped up its second weekend of outdoor competition at the Raleigh Relays.

RALEIGH, N.C. - Wake Forest track and field competed in the final day of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday at Paul Derr Track in Raleigh, N.C., where the squad delivered strong results. Throughout the weekend, two Demon Deacons set Wake Forest all-time records, and 17 athletes met the ACC outdoor mark across multiple events.

Emma Douglass and Rylan Engels rejoined the Deacs for their second race of the weekend, competing in the 800 meters. In a thrilling race, Douglass claimed fourth with a personal-best time of 2:04.81, while Engels placed 32nd with a time of 2:08.73.

The standout result places Douglass just behind the program record-holder, Nikeya Green, who posted a time of 2:04.46 in 2003.

In the men's 800m, freshman Wes Shipsey delivered a dominant time of 1:50.94, along with freshman Ayden Boucher recording a personal-best time of 1:55.76.

Also on the track, freshman Aria Wegh impressed with a fourth place finish in her 400m hurdle debut, finishing the competition in 59.68 seconds. Wegh now places fifth on the all-time list.

Earlier in the day, Jacob Goldberg competed in the hammer throw, delivering a strong performance with a 15th-place finish and a mark of 58.58 meters. Women's hammer throw followed with Isabella Gera earning a season-best 52.20m.

"This weekend was a great weekend for our team as a whole. We had school records from Rocky in the 5k, Brooke in the 10k, and Joe just missed one in the 10k. We also had numerous marks that rank highly in the region and the nation. Emma came within .5 of another school record as she came very close to winning. Aria ran her first 400m hurdle race in college and was top 5 in program history. That's an incredible accomplishment for a true freshman. This time of year is important to become tactically proficient and chase regional marks in order to get to the postseason. I'm proud of the staff for having our team prepared for this early part of the season. There is a lot of work that still needs to be done but I'm pretty happy with where we are."- Director of Track & Field and Cross Country John Hayes

"The women always love competing at Raleigh Relays—it's a premier meet known for its outstanding organization and top-tier competition from across the NCAA. I couldn't be prouder of their relentless effort, determination, and competitive fire. Their hard work paid off in a big way, as we're leaving the weekend with a wave of incredible achievements—new personal bests, top-10 program marks, ACC qualifiers, and a brand new school record in the 10K! This team continues to raise the bar, and I'm beyond excited to see what's next!" - Associate head coach Ashley Bastron

"It was nice to get some work in against a very competitive field. We had some season bests, and some things to work on for next week. " Associate head coach Collin Post

"We had a really successful weekend that continued our momentum from outdoors. Joe and Rocky were the two top performances for the men, but we had a lot of really good results. Coach Hayes and I were especially proud of Jackson Keefer. Jackson is a guy that has had ups and downs the last two years so to see him break through in such a massive way says a lot about him as a person.

Women's middle distance had an excellent weekend. Emma and Rylan both had PBs In the 1500 and then each came back today to run great 800s and cap off a great weekend of work." - Assistant coach Brandon Hazouri

"Aria Wegh had an impressive Deac debut in the 400 meter hurdles, just narrowly missing her personal best. This is a promising sign for her future races. Our jumpers are also progressing and refining their approaches accordingly. Considering it's still early in the season, we are eagerly anticipating more competition ahead." Assistant Coach Ryan Grinnell
