Wake Forest will now return home for a doubleheader against Queens and NC Wesleyan.
WACO, Texas – Thanks to an incredibly clutch, three-set victory on court one from senior DK Suresh Ekambaram, the No. 3-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team wrapped up its stint in Waco with a 4-3 win over No. 5 TCU Sunday afternoon inside Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
The Demon Deacons (8-2, 0-0 ACC) have now won three-consecutive matches against the Horned Frogs for the first time in program history and brought the series record to 6-7 dating back to 1988. Additionally, Wake Forest has posted an 11-1 record in Texas since the start of last season after winning two national titles in the Lone Star State in 2025, both over TCU.
Headed into singles down 1-0, the Deacs bounced back with wins on courts one, four, five and six.
Sophomore Joaquin Guilleme finished his trip to Texas with a perfect 3-0 record following his 6-3, 4-3 (ret.) win over Albert Pedrico Kravtsov on court five. He is now 17-1 overall in dual matches for the Demon Deacons and leads the team with eight victories this campaign.
A few minutes later, freshman Dominick Mosejzcuk continued the perfect start to his career as he returned to the lineup and defeated Roger Pascual Ferra in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Of note, freshmen are a combined 12-3 for the Deacs this season.
With the match level at 2-2, sophomore Charlie Robertson stepped up and came away with a clutch second-set tiebreak victory and defeated Oliver Bonding, 6-4, 7-6(4) for his third win of the season. Not long after, the Bears tied it again and the match would once again come down to Suresh on court one.
All three sets between Suresh and TCU's Duncan Chan went to a tiebreaker with the Demon Deacon ultimately prevailing in the first and third. It marked his first win of the spring in the Old Gold & Black and it came exactly a week removed from his heroics for India in the Davis Cup.

From Coach Bresky
"It was another great battle with TCU, and for it to come down to a third-set tiebreak shows how competitive the match was. After a tough loss yesterday and dropping the doubles point today, I thought our guys showed tremendous character. They stayed composed, fought through adversity and competed with a lot of heart to earn the win. Both teams were dealing with challenges physically, but our guys stayed mentally strong and found a way. We're proud of the resilience they showed. Now we're excited to move forward and get back to outdoor tennis, where we believe we can continue to play our best. We're looking forward to the next stretch of the season." - Head coach Tony Bresky
