
Demon Deacons Open Up Home Play Hosting Tennessee and Davidson

The Demon Deacons will make their 2022 home debut on Sunday, hosting No. 22 Tennessee before a potential afternoon match against Davidson.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's tennis will make its first appearance at the Wake Forest Tennis Center during the 2022 season on Sunday, hosting No. 22 Tennessee for an 11 a.m. start. Davidson will then play the loser of that opening match at 3 p.m.

Fan Information
All patrons ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test taken within 48 hours of the event in order to enter the Indoor Tennis Center.
Fans attending matches at the Indoor Tennis Center are encouraged to arrive early with the addition of the following health and safety measures.
Prior to entry, fans must either:

Show their vaccination card or photo or digital image with name and dosage history.

Digital or photos of vaccination cards are acceptable.

Show their printed or digital negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test.

Individuals who cannot provide proof of vaccination or a valid negative COVID-19 test according to the conditions outlined above will not be allowed to enter Wake Forest Athletics indoor events.

Last Time Out
Wake Forest opened the spring campaign winning nine matches in the Carolina Kickoff against No. 12 Georgia Tech, No. 25 Auburn and hosts South Carolina.
In singles action, Casie Wooten highlighted the weekend with two victories including a top-40 win over No. 38 Kylie Bilchev of Georgia Tech.
In doubles, the senior pairing of Peyton Pesavento and Saby Nihalani went 3-0.
Scouting The Opponents
Tennessee enters the weekend No. 22 in the latest ITA rankings as the Volunteers finished the 2020-21 season at 17-9 and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Davidson, meanwhile, won six matches last season including a 4-0 victory over George Mason in the A-10 Conference Tournament.
