Wake Forest Concludes Regular Season Play

ATHENS, Ga. – The Wake Forest women's golf team finished their final regular season event in third place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate.
Carolina Chacarra led the Deacs in the final round with a birdie one her first hole. She was the only Demon Deacon to record a birdie on her first nine holes. Before the day was over, she recorded two more on 14 and 17 to finish the day two under and one over for the event. Her tied for second place finish is her fourth top 5 finish of the year.
After starting her day four over on the first nine, Rachel Kuehn also recorded two birdies on her second nine holes on 10 and 14 to end the day three over and four over for the event. She recorded her fifth top 10 finish of the year, coming in T8. Lauren Walsh earned her sixth top 25 finish of the year at T25.
Coach's Comments
"Of course, we would always like a win, but we received a bit of an unlucky draw with tee times yesterday and we persevered through the wind. We didn't quite have our A-game today, but we still had a strong finish in a strong field. We are finishing our regular season on a good note and have plenty of things to work towards for postseason play." – head coach Kim Lewellen
