
No. 7 Wake Forest Ends Florida Road Trip with Sweep of No. 29 Florida State, 7-0

The Demon Deacons remain undefeated in ACC play, moving to 3-0 after sweeping the Seminoles on Sunday.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Wake Forest men's tennis program traveled to Tallahassee, Fla. to play in their third ACC match, facing off against No. 29 Florida State, sweeping the Seminoles 7-0 Sunday afternoon.
Senior Eduardo Nava clinched the match for Wake Forest today, moving the Deacs to 19-4 and 3-0 in the ACC play. No. 62-ranked Nava ousted Andreja Petrovic, 7-5, 7-6(1) on court two. Nava improves to 13-4 in the dual season, 3-1 against nationally ranked opponents and is on a six-match win streak.
The win over the Seminoles completes the weekend sweep in Florida after the Deacs topped No. 21 Miami, 4-3 on Friday.

How It Happened
Wake Forest secured the doubles point from wins on courts one and two. The doubles pair of Ben Draper and Eduardo Nava got the Deacs started, winning their match 6-4. The duo of Jurabek Karimov and Siddhant Banthia clinched the important 1-0 lead with a 6-4 mark.
The Demon Deacons went into singles play up 1-0 over the Seminoles.
Cungu surged to a 6-3, 7-5 win on court three. Cungu is now 9-3 in dual play and is 5-0 at the No. 3 singles spot. With the Deacs now up 2-0 in the match, No. 35 Filippo Moroni handed Richard Thongoana a loss with a 7-5, 7-5 score. No. 62 Nava defeated Andreja Petrovic in straight-sets for the Deacs clinch, 7-5, 7-6 (1).
The Deacs and Noles played it out with No. 65 Karimov, Banthia and Jakob Schnaitter finishing out their matches with wins.
