DURHAM, N.C. - The Wake Forest field hockey team fell Friday night at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium by a score of 3-0.
Anna Gwiazdzinski led the Demon Deacons attack with three shots while Flo Tuthill also put a shot on frame for Wake Forest as the Deacs finished the match with seven shots.
The Blue Devils were able to generate nine corners in the match leading to two of their goals.
How It Happened
Quotables
"We just came out flat in the first quarter. That first quarter really gave us a lot of problems to solve. There were too many problems to solve once we settled down in the second quarter. In the third and fourth quarters, we made some adjustments to our outlet passing. We found greater success and some players really put together some positive combinations and clips. I know that the squad is frustrated with the result. We need to focus on where there were some positives and where people stepped up big today." - head coach Jen Averill
