No. 6 Wake Forest Set for Top-10 Showdown at No. 8 Duke, Hosts App State Sunday

The Demon Deacons can clinch a share of the ACC Regular Season Title with a win on Friday night.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 6 Wake Forest field hockey team splits time on the road and at Kentner Stadium this weekend, battling No. 8 Duke in Durham on Friday, before returning home for a match with App State on Sunday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons open the weekend against the Blue Devils on Friday, October 24 at 5 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra.
Wake Forest will look to cap a perfect regular season at Kentner Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 26 at noon ET against App State.
Following the match, the Demon Deacons will host their Senior & Graduates Day celebration, honoring Amelia Frey, Rachel Thetford and Ellie Todd postgame.
Opponent History
Wake Forest and Duke will meet for the 88th time on Friday, with the Blue Devils holding a 50-37 advantage against the Demon Deacons in the series. Wake looks to break a four-game skid to Duke and earn their first win in Durham since 2021.
The Deacs are 41-16-1 all-time against App State, having won the last 32-straight against the Mountaineers, dating back to the 1992 season.
