Wake Forest Concludes Weekend with Three Podium Finishes in Winston-Salem

On Saturday, the Demon Deacons posted strong results in women's shot put, 3000-meter, and the mile.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest Track and Field wrapped up its third competition of the weekend at the Camel City Distance Classic, recording three podium finishes.
Isabella Gera earned her fourth first-place finish in women's shot put with a throw of 14.84 meters.
Over the weekend, Gera also placed second in weight throw at the Camel City Sprints Invitational, with a distance of 17.33m. She has secured five victories this indoor season and will look to extend her success next weekend at the Darius Dixon Invitational in Lynchburg, Va.
On the track, Emma DeVries posted a dominant personal best in the 3000m, finishing in 9:58.35, improving on her previous time of 10:10.87. Palmer Walstad finished third in the mile with a time of 4:58.51.
