
No. 6 Wake Forest Men Gear Up For Panorama Farms Invitational as Women Squad Enters Pre-NCAA Meet Fresh Off First-Place Victory

The men’s team is slated to begin at 8:45 a.m., with the women following at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Following a stellar third-place performance at the Nuttycombe Invitational, the No. 6 Wake Forest men's cross country squad heads to Charlottesville, Va., this Saturday to compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational. The women's team will continue their campaign at the Pre-NCAA meet in Madison, Wisc. on Saturday after a dominant first-place victory at the Royals XC Challenge.
The men's 8k is scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m.. Live results can be found here. The women begin their 6k race at 11 a.m. Live results can be found here.

The Field
In the Demon Deacons' most recent outing, the men's squad claimed a top spot as highest-ranked ACC team following a third-place overall finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational.
Luke Tewalt heads into the Panorama Farms Invitational following a strong top-10 finish with a time of 23:32.3 at Nuttycombe, Wake Forest was one of only three schools to place two athletes in the top-10, alongside North Carolina and BYU.
Sophomores Charlie Sprott (24:00.2) and Aidan Ross (24:02.6), look to make an appearance after both finishing in the top 40 at the Nuttycombe Invitational, followed by Daniel Winter (24:26.7) in 71st.
Following impressive performances at the Adidas XC Challenge, the Deacs' return junior Jackson Keefer and sophomore Wes Shipsey (18:11.4) with 10th and 15th place finishes. Keefer set a new personal-best finishing in 18:02.4.
Wake Forest looks to continue their strong momentum after the squad earned a first-place team victory at the Panorama Farms Invitational in 2022.
First-Place Victory Propels Wake Forest
After helping lead the women's squad to a first-place victory at the Royals XC Challenge, the Demon Deacons look to ACC Performer of the week Grace Wassell, who excelled, crossing the finish line fourth with a career-best of 17:17.01.
Wassell is joined by freshman Aiden Harrand (17:29.2) and sophomore Mackenzie Hart (17:31.7), who aim to enhance their performance after notching 10th and 12th place.
Latest Pre-NCAA Outing
Included in the Wake Forest's lineup is standout competitor Brooke Wilson, who delivered a key performance with her 18th-place individual finish. In the women's 6k, Wilson clocked 20:24.2, marking her third consecutive top-20 result. Wilson's effort helped propel the squad to a sixth-place finish overall at the XC23 College & Open Pre-Nationals.
Graduate student Alli Boehm, is focused on building on her 112th place finish from last year, where she clocked a time of 21:45.3.

The men and women's squads will travel to Cary, N.C. on Friday, Nov. 1, for the ACC Championships.
