- Women's Soccer:
- Last week, the Demon Deacons picked up their first ranked win of the season over No. 20 Mississippi State, 2-1, at Spry Stadium.
- The victory propelled Wake Forest to No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- Wake Forest extended its unbeaten stretch at home to 11 games and now holds a 13-2-5 record at home since the start of 2022.
- Additionally, it was the first ranked win for the Deacs since the 2-0 victory over Virginia last September.
- The Deacs enter this week with a 3-1-1 record as it prepares for a road test against Villanova on Thursday followed by a home match against UNC Asheville on Sunday.
- So far this season, the Deacs have been led by junior striker Hannah Johnson, who has tallied two goals and an assist for a team-best five points.
- Last week, the Demon Deacons picked up their first ranked win of the season over No. 20 Mississippi State, 2-1, at Spry Stadium.
- Field Hockey:
- The Wake Forest field hockey team pushed a pair of top 15 opponents to the limit to open the 2024 season at the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.
- Sophomore Faye Janse scored her third career goal in the Sunday match against No. 12 Michigan on an assist from Mia Schoenbeck.
- Goalkeeper Ellie Todd held No. 6 Iowa without a goal through regulation and both overtime periods on Friday.
- The Deacs return home this Sunday for a contest with No. 8 Harvard on Sunday at noon from Kentner Stadium.
- Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the match as part of Canines at Kentner, where fans four-legged friends will receive a Wake Forest bandana courtesy of Buie's Market.
- The Wake Forest field hockey team pushed a pair of top 15 opponents to the limit to open the 2024 season at the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.
- Volleyball:
- The Deacs are coming off their first weekend of fall season play in an annual, hosted invitational (Aug. 30-Sept. 1), pulling in wins over West Virginia and Navy.
- Redshirt sophomore Olivia Murphy started in all three matches for Wake Forest, making her first appearance in action since December 2022, and was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
- The Indiana native posted 29 total kills on a .323 hitting clip, while adding eight blocks.
- The Deacons are set to step into Iowa State's Cyclone Invitational next (Sept. 6-8), playing three matches in three days.
- Matchups versus the host Cyclones, Toledo and Illinois will all take place.
- Track & Field/Cross Country:
- Following a tune-up race against UNCG last Friday, the Wake Forest women's cross country team is set to open its season next weekend in Boone, N.C. in The Firetower Project.
- The squad was recently picked to finish eighth in a stacked ACC field this campaign and come into the season ranked fifth in the Southeast Region.
- Women's Golf:
- The reigning ACC Champions announced their schedule for the 2024-25 season at the beginning of the month, highlighted by returns to the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, Jackson T. Stephens Cup and the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
- The fall season will begin Monday, Sept. 9, with the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, where the Deacs finished fourth last season.
- Women's Tennis:
- Head women's tennis coach Jeff Wyshner recently announced the team's 2024 fall schedule, as several different qualifying events headline this year's slate.
- The Deacs will begin the fall in Furman's annual Debbie Southern Fall Classic (Sept. 13-15), followed by three separate Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) events that will provide the opportunity to qualify for the 2024 NCAA Individual Championships (Nov. 19-24).
- Six players return for Wake Forest this year – Krystal Blanch, Nevena Carton, Sankavi Gownder, Jingyi Li, Aubrey Nisbet and Whitley Pate.
- Additionally, the program has added a pair of graduate transfers, Makayla Mills (Kentucky) and Anna Zhang (Columbia), as well as two true freshmen: Brianna Baldi and Kady Tannenbaum.

- Women's Basketball:
- Earlier this summer, the Demon Deacons announced an exciting non-conference schedule. The 11 game run up to ACC play features eight opportunities to see the 2024-25 Demon Deacons inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- The Deacs will tip off the 2024-25 season on Monday, Nov. 4, squaring off with in-state Queens, before traveling to take on in-state Charlotte on Thursday, Nov. 7.
- Away matchups at Villanova on Sunday, November 10 and at St. John's on Sunday, December 8 round out the three games away from LJVM Coliseum during non-conference play.
- Game times and broadcast information for each of the Demon Deacons' 11 non-conference games will be announced at a later date.
- Additionally, the ACC announced home and away matchups for conference play with date and times announced at a later date.
- In August, the team was able to take a once in a lifetime trip to Croatia and Greece for an 11-day international tour that featured three games against European competition. The Demon Deacons finished the trip 3-0 while also getting to experience the culture and history of the two countries.
- In the opener against Split Select, the Demon Deacons scored 100 points en route to a 30-point victory.
- Traveling to Dubrovnik, Croatia, the Wake Forest women's basketball team continued its winning ways with an 87-43 win over Dubrovnik Select.
- Battling against the Swiss National Team, the Deacs played lockdown defense to capture the third victory of the trip, 52-41.
- Along the trip to Split, Dubrovnik and Athens, the Demon Deacons also had the ability to explore each city and learn about the rich culture of each city.
